April of 2008, Euro bike night at Ming's on the drag in Austin. The Drag is Guadalupe Street as it runs next to the UT campus.  Ming's was owned by fellow Euro biker Fai Jow.

July 16, 2012 Florida Bay, rare day off

7-16-04  Went to work the end of an outage at Turkey Point nuke, was working 6 12s.  Had a day off and drove down the keys a ways to see the sights.

June 23, 2007 Elgin Picking Party

6-23-1007.  Picking party at Stephen and Franci's house.  Sharon and Andre are entertaining us.

August 7, 2010. EKIII Run

7-10-2010.
Picking up Eddie for the EKIII run.  Eddie was a regular in an internet group I am in, until he crashed and became paralyzed.  The internet group raised money for such things as vans for his parents to take him out of the home he was in for doctor visits and just a change of scenery.  We have a birthday party for him every year at a campground in Ohio.  Eddie has sadly passed, but his memory lives on.  EKIII Rides With Me!

July 31, 2007 Hamilton Pool

7-31-07 Hamilton Pool is a in a county park west of Austin.  It features this waterfall into a pool of water that is surrounded by a circular limestone wall that nearly envelopes the pool, only open on the discharge side.  It is a very cool and refreshing place to swim and enjoy nature.  Due to the popularity of the site, entrance is restricted to a certain number of folks at a time.

November 9. 2005 Junkyard Goat

11-9-05.  Working telecoms in Dallas, I went to a site and saw this goat guarding the junkyard.  I don't know if it was as effective as a dog, but I'm sure it kept the weeds down better that a dog would.

8-9-07 My 50th birthday party

August 7, 2007.  A Side Effects reunion at my 50th birthday party at The Oaks in Manor.  My brother flew in, and friends came from all over for a wonderful night of music and food.  I am truly blessed with some talented friends.

2-24-2017 Squirrel in Georgia

2-24-17  Squirrel in yard at my rented place outside Waynesboro, GA.  I had put up a bird feeder, and it was a constant struggle to keep the squirrels out.  I first put up a plastic feeder, and they ate a hole into the top to get to the seeds.  I bought a metal one, that kept them from eating the feeder, and it slowed down the damage, but they still ate more than their share.

5-2-2004 NASCAR at Fontana

May 2, 2004.  NASCAR race at Fontana.  Hector, a project manager for one of our subcontractors, invited Scott and I to the infield to see the race and party with his friends.  We got there, and called him.  We met just outside the gate, and Hector gave us a couple of wristbands with the admonition not to put the adhesive on all the way.  Seems the group reused the wristbands top get a bunch in.  They had a complete compound set up, and the night before had been one hell of a party.  The race was good, and much beer was drank.

May 23, 2009 Car show LaGrange, KY

May 23, 2009.  Out for a cruise in Kentucky, ran across a car show in LaGrange, KY.  I was in Kentucky working at the Trimble County Generating Station, a new coal burner.

July 21, 2007.  I rode to Yankee Tavern, a biker joint east of Bryan. to meet up with some of the members of the Usenet group tx.moto.  This was on the ride home.
